...... I enjoyed this shot to end the night photographing this beautiful mosque overlooking the Straits of Melacca on the man made island of Melacca. The time was about 7:30pm with almost the last rays of sun at the horizon and the beautiful crescent moon over the Mosque. I think the 1.5 hours here was well spent and very fulfilling. I shall come here again in my next visit to Melacca. It is very dark and quiet at night after 7 pm except those who are praying in the mosque, I think you can park your car inside the mosque as it is much safer that way. Unlike Kuala Lumpur, I was told that in Melaka; you are allowed in the vicinity of the mosque even in the evening but not within the mosque itself if you are not a Muslim.

The changing faces of Singapore 不断变化和进步的新加坡 ...

Everything about Singapore is beautiful. It’s really clean and there do not seem to be a piece of garbage anywhere that I have wondered about. Literally because it is a public offence to chew gum !
I drove from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore on Sept 06 on a day trip ! and back to KL on the same day (in the evening), that one card system or is it called the "EZ-Link Card" required for driving in and out of Singapore seem to be that universal for parking, toll, food, MTR and maybe some other things I am not aware of. A perfect cashless travel card system in Singapore.
I spend the remaining evening at Marina Bay (without a tripod) before a 4 hours drive back to KL. And this grand piece of architecture will be the "Marina Bay Sands ArtScience Museum." in the very near future.

This photo was taken few years back when I was on assignment to Beijing. Not a beautiful day for photography but surprisingly; on that day, there were not too many tourist !
I have seen movies and documentary about the Forbidden City but walking and wondering about in this place by yourself is a very different experience as it was a place only for the untouchables.

I like the China Town of Melacca, it seems for me at every corner; you can find something special to photograph. Even different times of the day, you should have a different experience as the activities changes throughout the day. To my surprise, it is quite clean for Malaysia standards.
I am very glad that at least some of the culture and heritage is kept as it is.

This is the entrance to a cultural museum of the Ming Dynasty's Admiral Cheng Ho who visited Melacca at least five times during his famous seven voyages to the Western Ocean (Southeast Asia, Indian Ocean, Middle East and Africa). According to some writings, Admiral Cheng Ho set up a huge warehouse complex along the northern side of the Melacca River. Thus far, sadly, there has been no serious research and investigation done on this fascinating topic.

Nothing compares with the feeling you'll get aboard that anticipation of ... slowly titling fishing pole downwards ... when there's a jerk on your line, the next thing on the list is to bait the hook ... perhaps it is not the end result but the process itself ..... that is the lure to fishing to most people.... for me at least !
