For the Hindus, during Thaipusam
Carrying pots of milk on the
head symbolizes a smaller burden of offering
 (as compared to those who carry the Cavadee)
but the journey itself with the bare foot walk to the
temple reflects the devotees inner strength to connect with God ...












Milk offering as a ritual is an ancient custom in many
parts of Asia.

In Mongolia, milk is a life resource and a
symbol of holy and sacred. The custom of milk offering is
still kept for welcoming or bidding farewell to a long trip ...

In Japan and Philippines, there are also rituals of using milk
as a cleansing and offering ...

However, I have not known of any Chinese rituals
bearing the offerings of white milk ...
