What you don't see is what matters most 你不看到的是最重要的事情 ...

Nov 18, 2010
Pasar Road, Kuala Lumpur

When you visit a City as a tourist, you probably will just see the glittering
lights, beautiful shining buildings or
those well maintained "OLD" structures meant to be seen by the public,
luxurious shopping malls,
obviously the clean and beautiful side of the city ...

However, what most people visiting a city sees
are not the real places most city folks do live in ...

But those who live here will survive without the
attentions needed to distract their
livelihoods ...

No matter how bad the economy is or how good it seems to
others, people in this part of the city goes through
their daily life the same or even worst ...

They can only bite their tongue through hard times
as no one will help them ...

many of my friends who once lived in these run-down shop houses in
Kuala Lumpur are now engineers and lawyers but they
do not want to be seen or heard in these neighborhoods ...

What will become the city of the future when
the poor will continue to be poorer
and
the rich continue to becomes richer ...

However, think again... some of these old shop lots
fetches more then 2 million per unit in today's market ...

The problem is that, those who own these shop lots are
now living in luxurious condominiums or houses and
renting these to those coming from the rural poor
or foreign labors ....
