Tree of life 生命之树 ...

Took some time alone on a Saturday morning driving back to Nature ....

I think sometimes it is good to be away from the city ....

from your colleagues and friends ...

and maybe your wife and children too ...

That is what exactly I did on a Saturday morning, driving alone away from the 

city of Kuala Lumpur to an outskirt small town 

called Ulu Yam (乌鲁雪兰莪) just about an hour or less from the bustling city of KL.

The entire driving took me 3 hours with just a single photo shot of these trees ....
I did more thinking then shooting today !

I have the opportunity to spend two days with a friend and teacher

 in photography when he came to Malaysia. 

It was my pleasure just to see how my teacher searches for his compositions of the subject ....

It does not matter it is on the streets of Kuala Lumpur ....

Or a cafe in the town of Melaka ....

Composition and interestingness are something a good photographer always looking for ....

The little pointers of the 2 days was perhaps worth more then 

a year of Photography magazine I read in a year ...

I had only known my friend a teacher Mr Nobu San in the photo community in the internet ...

But our 2 day meet and photo outing together is something I cherish for the rest of my life ...

Apologies when we are wrong 当我们做错了必须道歉

Something I keep reminding myself everyday for the past 40 over years ....

To accept an apology isn’t easy for either person involved. 

Apologizing can be, if done correctly, a very humbling act. 

The most difficult thing for me yet to learn is to apologies to 

my wife and children when I was wrong !

Chlorophyll 叶绿素 ...

Chlorophyll (also chlorophyl) 

is a green pigment found in almost all plants, algae, and cyanobacteria.

Its name is derived from the Greek χλωρός (chloros "green") and φύλλον (phyllon "leaf").

Chlorophyll absorbs light most strongly in the blue portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, followed by the red portion. However, it is a poor absorber of green and near-green portions of the spectrum, hence the green color of chlorophyll-containing tissues.

Chlorophyll is consumed by people for its nutritional benefits. It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties and may help cuts and wounds heal more quickly. Chlorophyll has vitamins A, C and E, all antioxidants that help scavenge free radical cells that can oxidize and create cell or tissue death.Chlorophyll is vital for photosynthesis.

Chlorophyll is essential to the process of photosynthesis, 

which allows plants to obtain energy from light. It is often called the building block of life. 

Without chlorophyll there is no life.

Natures Abstract 大自然的抽象 ...

One may point out that abstract photography lacks realism,
but I believe it is a realistic depiction of a less familiar dimension ....

especially when the abstracts are created by nature ....

Scarlet-Red Dragonfly meet 遇见猩红蜻蜓时 ...

So, my project for the day was FLOWERS but instead I met a Scarlet-Red Dragonfly ....

at Kuala Lumpur Hibiscus Park two days ago ....

Whenever I meet a dragonfly, I will stay at the spot for more then just a few minutes ...

as it will just fly back to the spots in front of you inviting and teasing you to photograph it ....

you can play with it from different angles, and it will show off its ....

Someone once told me I should be shooting these dragonflies in black and white but ....

maybe not .... 

 as I like them the way they are 

especially this Scarlet-Red Dragonfly ....

Thank you little scarlet-red dragonfly 

for spending 30 minutes with me 

on a beautiful Saturday morning ...

The exhibition is not a large one and I think I was one of the few visitors in the entire exhibition hall, and so with permission from the booth owner, I could play with the angles I like in the exhibition hall ....

Did take me a while to get this one with the right dof ...

A wonderful little handy craft with the book of Quran, as tiny as a fifty cents coin ....

The professor of arts from Iran explained to another visitor about this art piece while I was busy photographing it ....

I think there is about 100 booths in the exhibition and only 3 to 4 booths showcase handy crafts, others are medical equipments, food, furniture, and scientific equipments from Iran ....

Although with only a few booths on crafts, 

the exhibition showcase some amazing art works from Iran ....

From a distance and I thought this was a craft painting, it was actually a hand sewn carpet ....

An Iranian woman sitting on the carpet that she is working on ....

with her delicate hands, 

precision ....

and patience ...

Her Iranian sisters in the next exhibition booth displays the beautiful Iranian crafts ....

of beauty ...

and elegance ....
