Religious Architecture is very unique
It reflects the Architectural Language
for worshipping the different beliefs it is intended for ...
some blend in it with the local cultures
which makes it even more interesting ...

For the good of us all 都是为我们的好 ...

Malaysia has a multi racial and multicultural population. Though there are many ethic groups in Malaysia, most of the population is classified into 3 major ethnic grouping: Malays, Chinese and Indians (a legacy of British administrative convenience).
As the country's official religion is Muslim, you can find beautiful mosque around the country.

I love places of worship - their grandeur, their peacefulness, their architectural beauty.

One can simply find the presence of Mosque, Church, Buddhist, Taoist, and Indian temple in close proximity and people of these different religious faiths living harmoniously for most of the times.

As I began my photography journey into a temple, mosque, or church; there are always warm welcome and inviting gestures. In my opinion, this is what the true it should be; living together peacefully, harmony and respect each other in a country of diversity.

The variety of religions found in Malaysia is a direct reflection of the diversity of races living in this country.
As I believe that fundamentals of all religions teaches the "good" in a human being .....

.... that is a good reason for all to live together peacefully ....

At the Flamingo pond 火烈鸟池 ...

Location: Wetlands Putrajaya, 湿地 普特拉贾亚
Date Taken: May 13th, 2010 @ 08:12am
Nikon D90, Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G
ISO 1000, "A" mode 1/500s @ F16, +1/3 EV, FL=300mm

...... The pond at the Wetlands of Putrajaya is quite big and a zoom lens is definitely a must. It is actually a Flamingo pond with a few ducks and small birds. A nice place to observe birds and practice animal behavior shots as you can even place your tripos there; I think only a handful of visitors come to the Wetlands.

...... I believe I should have boost the ISO to even higher. Nevertheless, I was happy with this composition with minimal processing although it is a little bit dark and not in total focus ...

Location: Putrajaya Wetlands 布城湿地
Date Taken: May 13th, 2010
Nikon D90, Tamron AF SP 90mm f/2.8
ISO 1000, "A" mode 1/200 @ F20, -5/3 EV, WB=Auto

...... It is always visually pleasing in my opinion to have dark backgrounds. And, I always try to do camera settings to get a dark enough background and then the Software to tune it completely dark. I find that overdoing it using software makes the subject in the foreground very awkward in terms of color saturation; therefore, I always try to use camera setting to get the darkest possible background and a minimal tuning using software. Of course, if you setup with a tripod, remote release, and a non-reflective black color board will do as well ...
