Summarizing Batu Caves 总结黑风洞 ...

Before leaving Batu Caves, I thought I would
summarize my visit to this place in short notes ....

... on Batu Caves ...

A mysterious place of the cave of bats
used by Chinese settlers and "discovered" by an American Naturlist ...
more then 100 years ago ...

... but ironically became a sacred place for
Hindus and not just for the local pilgrims ....

... and of course you can enjoy the playful macaque monkeys
as you climb up the 272 steps ...

... or those which prefer to be around the tourist on the foothills ....

... you will see various Hindu temples in the caves above and below ....
it is perhaps the only one site in Malaysia you can find so many variety of Hindu temples ...

... and catching a glimpse of the daily life of the Hindu monks who live here ...

... or admire the facades and statues around the temples ...

... as it is hot and humid in KL,
do enjoy some refreshments in front of these temples ...

,,, or local fruits under the watchful eye of Lord Murugan ...

... and if and when you are hungry after the 272 steps up and down,
you can savor some Indian dishes along with some "pulled-tea" or "teh-tarik" ...

... the mysteries of this place may not be easily understood by you and me ...

... but the flowers for the prayers and offerings are as inviting as the
golden status of Lord Murugan ....

... from macaque monkeys to the pigeons who live here ....

Whether, you are young or old, local or a foreign visitor ...

I think you will enjoy something different ...

and I think there is probably always something that will interest you in Batu Caves ...
